Acute Otitis Media

Inflammation of the middle ear. This infection leads to accumulation of pus and outward bulging of tympanic membrane. It may be due to spread of microbes from:-

· Upper respiratory tract through Eustachian tube

· Outer ear through a perforation in the tympanic membrane
